Hunter adores his Elf on the Shelf "Red" so for his birthday a box showed up on our front porch for him:
In the box was a book about the birthday tradition that said you could invite your elf to your birthday if you wrote a letter to Santa and asked. Also included was a cupcake outfit for your elf to wear. If Santa said it was okay your elf would show up and decorate a chair, fill balloons with treats and bring other goodies along. Hunter was so excited he started writing his letter to Santa right then...
On the Monday before his birthday Red showed up...
Each balloon was filled with a small treat.
As the week went on Red would hide in a different place each morning. He was often caught playing with Hunter's toys.
His elf even played hide and seek with him using clues.
On Hunter's Birthday the elf brought him a small gift and card.
Hunter was so happy to have Red stay with us all week and he even got to Hug and Kiss him before we had to say good-bye (Hunter cannot touch the elf unless Santa says its okay as he will loose his magic).
Until Christmas...
